Train tracks
My Dad was down today and kindly took me for lunch at Maison Bleue - delicious food in ideal portions - but weirdly for such a quality restaurant we were the only people there the whole time (apart from the staff, obviously...)
Then again, it was Tuesday and the Festival is just a distant nightmare memory...
A quick trip to the Royal Mile to pick up a bottle of Glencadam whisky, which is distilled in Angus I'll have you know (you learn something new every day!) then on to Edinburgh's Cultural Mothership for a wee look around - I've still not seen everything on display and I've been lots!
Post luncheon we took a leisurely stroll down to Princes Street for travel books and then to John Lewis - I've added an iMac to my 'to buy' list for when I win the lottery...
I took this looking down onto the tracks from The Mound - I like the snaking of the train across three lines (I was willing it to be routed it down the far right hand side!)
I wonder how many train delays there are nowadays from "wet leaves on the line"?
