Day off sick

I fondly remember the days when I would get poorly, ring work to say I couldn't go in and then lie around on the sofa all day, dozing and watching daytime telly, then ordering takeaway because cooking was too much like hard work.

Today's day of illness consisted of making pack up's, taking kids to school, walking dog and toddler in the rain (in the vain hope of wearing them out), mopping floor when toddler and dog ran straight into house with muddy paws / wellies, losing my rag with a Christmas fair organiser, selling rubbish on eBay, making soup, collecting child from
school, taking unwanted junk to charity shop and cooking dinner. And I still feel guilty, because I had the telly on for most of the day to try and give myself a break from entertaining the Maddster. I thought about looking for paid employment today, purely so that I could have sick days again!!!!

Only bonus - knowing other people are having a similarly crap day. Sorry for enjoying your misfortune Kitty, but misery loves company!!
