In to the City to do an advance recce for Mr Claus at Hamleys . Another Wellington cone-head photo was in strong contention until we came up Buchanan Street to find a young skier... complete with skies and 'amazed' wee boy as audience ... performing the traditional 'I am skiing' action pose for these battle weary photographers, by jumping off a marble bench!

We decided this was the equivalent of the lazy shorthand pose they do for jazz .... you know the one where the sax player lifts the sax at an impossible but photo-friendly angle while standing silhouetted against the city skyline .... yeah! just as boring as that.

If I were on Flickr you'd be able to see the prior shot of their utter boredom as their 'heid bummer' signalled and shouted to the young skier to set up the shot!!

Enough to make you eat a giant scone & jam at Cranachan in Princes Square. So we did!
