Dear Self,

You really do have to stop wittering about writer's block.

You do not have writer's block. What you have is writer's work refusal. You really mean you haven't written anything because, frankly, you haven't sat on your arse for the last week and actually put pen to paper.

You've whined to your writing friends; you've told yourself that a long diary entry about Steve Jobs counts as writing. You've made every excuse possible. Researching? Aye that'll be right!


You sat down this morning and wrote 3000 words straight off; perhaps of indeterminate quality, but 3K all the same. So you can do it.

You are not blocked! You are bone idle!
