Falling

Lesson one; Do not put on whistling kettle on stove for breakfast tea and then go and put stuff up in the loft.

Lesson two; If you have to , do it quickly and do not get distracted. Always remember that you have a kettle boiling on the stove.

Lesson three; If up in the loft, and the kettle starts boiling, when hurrying, make sure you descend the loft properly and carefully. E.G. not facing forward, and making sure that your leading foot goes on the top rung of the loft ladder carefully and safely.

If you ignore this advice you may well descend quicker than you intended doing, and end up wasting one of your days off, the sunniest and warmest one, by spending it in the A & E, and coming home with one of these, (pictured above).

Falling is not a good thing to do,.
Can't even have too much wine or beer to numb the pain as it might not go too well with the pain killers.

At least my record of having reached this age, and not having had a broken bone in my body remains intact.
One day I will tell you how I managed to get up and walk away totally unscathed after I was knocked over by a Double Decker bus.
