Scarborough Sunrise

The Travelodge in Scarborough maybe basic but the seaview was pretty good. I woke up to this wonderful view of the sun rising over the sea.

I was a warm night but the weather took a turn today which meant a day on the beach was off the cards. Instead we went to Peasholm Park where the kids went on the dragon pedalos and we all enjoyed a walk around. Louis got on particularly well again with Charles and Alana with the girls. There are quite a few girls Alana's age.

Lunch at the north beach (no swimming!) and afterwards we headed home.

At home we thought we should give Louis one of his presents. I would be at work tomorrow and wanted to see his face. Alana covered his eyes and it was wonderful to see his face when he saw his new pet hamster on the table. L was convinced that Louis would call him Kirby (after the Wii cartoon he constantly watches) but he ended up calling him Harry. I hope he likes having a pet.

I put Louis to bed. His last night of being five.
