October Sun

It was the first day of an overnight stay at the Travelodge in Scarborough. We were part of a group of L's friends, husbands and kids which meant roughly twelve adults and twenty five kids, give or take a few. The weather could not have been better. We spent the day on the beach and it was hard to believe it was October! The tide was out all day and the sun shone all day. The kids played well too. The evening was spent in the arcades, followed by a chip shop tea and a visit to the Grand for a drink. All on all a nice day which went really well. The downside was me carrying our luggage from the car which was miles away. I'm typing this many days later and I think I still ache from my efforts!
