wander, stumble, wonder

Bloomin' Marvellous

It's been a pretty wet spring so far, lots of afternoon showers, and proper showers too, not this 'oooh, one drop, aren't I a good cloud!' business. I love sitting with my window wide open on days like this. As soon as it starts the birds start to hop around, finding all the hapless worms and bugs who think 'well, it's raining, surely they'll all stay home. I'll just pop out for a bit.' A pardalote calls out 'hey guys, here's a good spot' and three more join him. Meanwhile the plants just take it all in. Tendrils slowly stretch out, leaves reach out like fingers, and flowers relish every drop that washes off the dust of the week, drinking it all in.

And we complain about this stuff?

Yes, I complain about the rain too, it's not always lovely, but it's not always bad either.

And I've put the recipe up for yesterday's chocolate biscuits.

Also, have I made this a little too colourful? I played with the colour balance, and it did look fine, but now I'm wondering if it's not a little too much?
