Downtown today
Downtown is different. I stumbled upon the protest which is getting a large media coverage and much attention from the police these days in New York. The protesters want an end to greed and more emphasis on humanity. It mostly looked like they want to take a break from work and dance and sing. Some want to sit and others shout. There were cameras and microphones creeping up from everywhere. There was one gentleman who had a sign asking to protect the rights of the rich. Life is quite the leveller and I am sure his claim is as important. Though the general idea seemed vague, protesting near Wall Street is guaranteed to grab attention.
Ferries floated in between the red and blue as dusk lingered. It seemed like an evening I had always known, and yet could not recognize.
