Real Friends
This morning we went in to Our Lady's in Terenure to introduce ourselves to the first Years and to tell them a bit about Wells for Zoe. Our Lady's is one of our biggest supporters for the past five years, for which we are truly grateful.
Today we had a big announcement to make, that the first year group were, for the first time, allowed to have not a sleep-in but a stay awake on Friday night two weeks time and that this will be a sponsored event to benefit Wells for Zoe's projects in Malawi.
The announcement was made by Miss Coyne and her Sixth Year group and the reaction was so exciting to watch. To say they were excited is a serious under statement.
The group, with the birthday girl are a fourth year group who are doing the PR, eliciting prizes and generally doing all the hard work.
On behalf of our Malawian friends we have the most sincere thanks to all those involved, who work so hard and make us so welcome whenever we arrive and particularly to the Principal and staff who do such amazing work for us.
We arrived soon after 8am and the amount of activity would suggest that it might be mid day. It is a wonderful school and a lovely place to be.
Thank you all
