Pictures At An Exhibition.

Veteran conductor Yuri Simonov introduces Glasunov as the first encore piece after a fabulous evening of Russian music given by the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra at the Usher Hall.

Performances of well-known works by Prokofiev and Mussorgsky, as well as a tremendous interpretation of Tchaikovsky by violinist Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, would see the orchestra give three encores during the evening - and earn them a deserved standing ovation at the end.
