Three needles too many!

Sorry I haven't been commenting recently. Have been running trying to keep still - feel a bit like Mrs Evil Goat's blip!

Day off today and the blacksmith came and trimmed the ponies' feet. They aren't shod, because the Shetlands are just pets, never ridden, and Nimbus does hardly any road work. This saves me a small fortune, as any horse owner will tell you!

Came in from the garden and decided to rest and relax, so had a go at knitting socks - with FIVE needles! I admired the sock I saw someone knitting, and she told me it was easy and addictive and so that was my cue. I have more than enough on my plate, but hey, I've not knit with five needles before and I'm always up for a challenge . . . She's kindly written out pattern for me and at the end it says, "cast off, admire your first sock and knit another"!
