View through my mirror

23months 13days

This is the view in my mirror as I drive along. Not a bad view at all, hey? Her impact cushion makes a fabulous ledge for Monkeys.

She's had a good day at nursery again, although she's still refusing to eat with the other children. But I've asked the nursery to encourage it a bit more now - she's still going to be allowed to chose her food over theres, just at the table. I found out today they'd let her graze on snacks (allbeit proper food, just not meals) all day - I thought she was having her food at the same time everyone else was having other food. She slept well again, did a splatter painting which was already on display when I arrived. One of the staff told me that as soon as she took Katie towards the changing room, Katie remembered the fish mobile they have and then in there started telling her all the fish colours - so she's beginning to come out of herself! She apparently has claimed a corner by the jigsaw table where she often retreats with all her belongings, bless her.

When I picked her up, we went to the park. She was a little bothered by the noisy building machines at the new housing estate being done next to the park so kept coming for big snuggles. She realised that climbing some parts of the frame was hard with Monkey in one hand, so took to throwing him up first.
