Reflections
First day of 'school' break, so once breakfast and 'Kumon' were out of the way, we headed for the beach, seeing as it was dry, I am beginning to learn that when it Scotland it's dry you get out and make the most of it!.
I set the children a task to create a picture in the sand with anything they found on the beach, so Aiden set right to it, and created a lovely picture of a bunny made from shells, eating a carrot (made from an orange stone and some seaweed), the bunny was sitting under a tree (made from real branches). Blaine helped her gather seaweed, shells, stones, dune grass etc., and he created the nest in the tree, oh and dragged the huge branch from further down the beach, the end result was fantastic - very creative, unfortunately, I couldn't get it all in a single shot.
The sea had a lovely glow from the sun trying to peek through the clouds in the sky, love it when it looks like this. There was someone wind-surfing and I was hoping he'd blow towards the shimmering water, but he didn't.
We stopped off at the beach park for 10mins then headed home for lunch and before the rain started.
