Not a real castle...

...but still beautiful.

This is Rowton Castle and is close to my gym (which isn't anywhere near as grand unfortunately!).

I've had such a busy day today and now I'm shattered. I went to watch my middle and youngest sons play footy this morning. They played on adjacent pitches with their matches overlapping by about half an hour which was amazing as they are usually miles apart. I then prepared dinner and stupidly made an apple pie - stupidly because I didn't really have the time or space to do it properly, the kitchen was boiling hot and I haven't made pastry since I was at school. It turned out ok - mine was anyway under all the custard ;-).

In the afternoon I went to the gym and then tackled the pile of ironing whilst watching X-Factor and Downton Abbey. I didn't watch the first series of DA but I'm hooked now, it's a great programme to do the ironing to!

The weather has been a bit miserable today compared to what we've had the last few days, we've definitely been spoilt!
