Boys at the Beach
One of the drawbacks of taking photographs is that I am forever behind the camera and never seem to be in many shots. So, today, we headed down to the seafront - first to the Spash Pool by Canoe Lake, and then to the beach itself.
Megan wanted to have a good crawl around after her lunch, so we changed her into her swimming costume and let her loose around the splash pool. Emma took plenty of good photos, but we couldn't get quite close enough with the camera. After about ten or so minutes, Megan was tired and needed a wee nap, so it was back into her normal clothes and a fresh nappy for her lunchtime siesta. After that, we wandered over to the beach so I could have a good dip in the sea. Shocking it may seem, but this is the first time we had been down to the beach since our holiday in Santorini in May. But then again, we all know what a dismal summer we have had. How bizarre, that it is October before we could get down to the seafront on a lovely warm day. This partly explains my blip drought in Aug/Sept. Luckily Emma was on hand with the camera once again, to capture this lovely shot of Oliver and I enjoying the relatively 'warm' water.
We all came back from the sea front tired but happy, and I'm pleased to report both kids were in bed well before 8pm - a really good advert for fresh air.
So, for all those who haven't seen this weeks forecast - a couple more days of this for the south coast, then a change to more normal autumn weather - maybe even snow on the hills up north. Dont we just love our country eh! Have a good week folks, whatever you are up to!
