Arabian Nights

Went for food after work with an ex colleague and our International Business Director who happens to be a Palestinian Arab. We sampled the delights of the Pearl of the Orient Chinese restaurant in Cardiff Bay followed by a few beers in one of the bars.

Outside the bar on the board walk at Mermaid Quay is this bronze statue. Sculpted in 1993, it is called 'People Like Us' and represents the immigrants that came to Cardiff Bay (then Tiger Bay) many moons ago in search of a better life.
