Cool view at Denford

The temperature neared 28C during today's walk with the Friday group. But good conversation and beautiful scenery kept us going. As we approached Denford, Northamptonshire, the tapestry of trees and this colourful boat moored down on the river made a cooling sight. Concluded the outing with a cool beer and a rather sinful and rare basket of fish and chips.

Some of the talk around the lunch table was of rugby, of course, with the England v Scotland match tomorrow in Auckland. I'm half Scots and always support them as far as they go - then switch to England. Some come on the Scots!!

Two more days of fabulous sun are forecast and then the high pressure is set to move away. But what a week's it's been...
