Year Three

Afternoon on the beach.

Drove 150 miles to see a famous town, and also discovered that their beaches are nearly identical to our own. Although, our beaches have slightly higher ratings. More or less the same though.

Beginning to like living near the beach. Very different to London.

Still getting used to photography on the beach - ultra wide angle lenses are bad. Very bad in fact. You get a lot of sea and sky in a shot and not much else. Today I should have taken the full kit onto the beach, telephoto for long shallow depth of field stuff, wide angle for general stuff, and a kit lens for wandering about with.

So with a complete lack of lenses available to me (there were steps between myself and the car so I didn't fancy getting the camera bag), we decided to reel off 200+ shots of us feeding seagulls. Not exactly difficult, but did help when i finally turned RAW off (9 in the buffer), and pointed the camera in the right direction.

Look closely and the gull on the right has a crisp in his mouth ;)
