Becky and Mike's 3rd wedding anniversary

Today is the 3rd wedding anniversary of my daughter Becky and husband Mike. They were married in Las Vegas. I chose this lovely framed photo of her as my blip.

The ceremony was held on the terrace of The Bellaggio Hotel with the famous fountains in the background. Becky and Mike were allowed to choose which music they wanted played and they chose " Fly Me To The Moon" sung by Frank Sinatra. When the Minister pronounced them " Man and Wife " the fountains started and the song began.

Looking back on the day I would say it was perfect. ( apart from her Dad not being there of course )

She is brunette normally but since she was a little girl she wanted to be blonde - and to be blonde on her wedding day. So before she went to Las Vegas the hair dye was applied and she was the blonde bride of her dreams. She went back to brunette but we still have the photographs to remind us of her " blonde phase ".

Today Becky is running in her first half marathon. It's "Run to the Beat " - starts and finishes at The O2 in London. An early start for her as she lives near Heathrow. She has competed in a lot of shorter runs and has done 13 miles in her training but this is her first competitive half marathon. She has had a niggly injury all week but hopefully she will get through it.

***** Update from Neil

After the shock of the late night call yesterday ( see my blip for 24th) Neil got in touch himself this morning via Facebook. He says ........

" I fell onto some rocks, hurt my back, no breaks shown up on the x-ray, just a bit of bruising so all ok. have painkillers and other drugs for it so will be fine in a few days, nothing to worry about. i'll try and be more careful."

So he seems to have got away with it - sounds like it could have been a lot worse. I'm torn between worrying about him and hoping he isn't in any pain.... and wanting to throttle him for getting into scrapes. Kids eh.
