Pirates on the canal!

Took a run down to the Auchinstarry basin on the Forth & Clyde Canal this evening to see the canal boats. It is 10 years since the canal was repaired and re-opened and there is a cavalcade (is that the right term?) of canal boats heading from Glasgow to the Falkirk Wheel. There will be a big shindig party at the wheel tomorrow but we cannot be there hence this evening's caper.
It is good to see some of the boaties have a suitably macabre sense of humour. Maybe they did dredge up a body or two when they were clearing out the clogged up canal! Who knows what is down there??
