The orra loon ready fir a puckle o' bothy sangs!

A fundraising concert tonight for the local Heritage centre and Museum......busy getting the costume right as an "orra loon", the farmerworker who was given all the really filthy tasks and was often the butt of various jokes. Notice the traditional red and white neckerchief to put over your mouth, the "tackety beets" to protect the feet, and the nicky tams to stop rats from running up your trouser legs....ah, those were the days of "elf and safety" !!!
