Smoothie!
I'm now addicted to home made juice!! This is my third lot - apple, cranberry and grapes, and all from the garden. I have masses of teeny very bitter apples and lots of cranberries which thrive in our boggy patch, so decided to make some juice. Very easy to do - cut apples into quarters (leave skin, pips etc in), add grapes, cranberries and anything else you can find - put in a big pan and simmer for half an hour. Then sieve a couple of times, leave to cool and bottle. This has actually turned out more like a smoothie cum puree but is very tasty. Previous batches were grape and a few apples, then cranberry and grape. My favourite was the cranberry and grape.
A nice day at home pottering in the garden before the rain comes. More mowing, bramble hacking and bulb planting.
We have been watching The Killing (Danish version) on DVD. It is totally compulsive and we are down to the last two episodes and none the wiser as to who the' perpetrator' is! The twists have been torturous but the acting and production in general is excellent.
