September Tree

I saw this tree yesterday near where I photographed the wood sculptures in the St Ives Estate.
I was drawn back to it today as I like it's shape. It is obviously quite old as the trunk shape indicates yet it is still fully rounded with growth. I think it is a sweet chestnut and it is full of fruits which appear a slightly lighter green in the photograph.

You can just see my little car in the distance (parked where it shouldn't be) and this is the view looking back from it showing the other side of the strangely shaped trunk.
