May Rain

There are 2 or 3 days in early May each year where it gets cold and rains. Sorta the calm before the storm -- it'll be pretty hot and dry from here on out, until September. Oh, we'll get rain (monsoons, we call them) but they'll be fierce, pounding storms that no one in his or her right mind would want to be out in.

Today's is a gentle rain, and I'm enjoying the moisture. I know it's just an oil slick -- but we don't get to see these very often.
