Fire Balls

What a day...

It seems as though math and English are the only two periods where I'm constantly watching the clock and counting the seconds until I'm out...it's not that I don't like the classes, but it's just so early...

I got in trouble in orchestra because I stayed in the office all period instead of going out to play a G scale. Sue me. In chem we made fire balls. I know this picture is blurry but I didn't have a tri-pod and I didn't want to use the flash. For lunch I walked to Town Bagel with Mike, Jack, Kenny, and Brendan. Walking laps inside the back gym was fun... Then the interesting things began...

Today was our first league meet. It was a 4k at Bethpage against Mepham, Long Beach, and Jericho. Well, Wantagh was amazing across the board. Here is something my coach posted in the Facebook group; "Congratulations on a great meet! Wesley set the tone by WINNING the Boys JV race in a personal best time. Anthony and Rich also placed in the top 10. Shea followed with a WIN in the Girls JV race. EVERY single Wantagh athlete in the Boys and Girls JV races set PRs. Great job!!! Liz WON the Girls Varsity race and was followed by 7 Wantagh girls in the top 11. Wantagh Girls WON the Varsity race with 19 points!!!!! Danny followed with a WIN in the Boys Varsity race. All 8 Varsity Boys finished in the top 16 to lead the Boys team to a win with 26 points!!!! 11 of 16 Varsity athletes set new PRs. I'm so proud of all of you!!!" It really was a great meet. I came in 6th place on the team and 13th in the race. Timmy said my time was 14:34 and I'm really happy with that! Winning is a great way to start the season.

And because today is a Tuesday...

MYO started again today! I went straight from the meet to the rehearsal. It was long and difficult but I had fun. The only bad thing was that I didn't get home until 10:10 and I have work to do...
