Conference, Réfectoire des Cordeliers

I spent most of the day at a conference - Le genre à l'oeuvre - housed in the refectory of a former monastery on the rue de l'école de médecine. Christine Planté and Geneviève Fraisse gave wonderful plenary lectures. I hope this picture captures a bit of the feel of the lovely, old building.

Happy to report that Ch was feeling better and went to school and Th and I seem to be keeping the cold at bay so far. Th had a really nice Korean lunch at one of her new friend's apartments today and aced a math test - so she was very pleased. Ch can memorize poems like nobody's business, which seems to be an important talent to have in the French school system. She also brought home an amazing grade today on her poetry recital. Woo hoo!
