Spotty Hog

Another brilliant day! We went for a walk round Tunstall Forest today. The weather is mild, and we saw some sunshine, but it is still quite breezy. There are lots of pig farms around here and I can never resist the temptation to call out Pigs in Space. I find pigs quite endearing creatures, and this one caught my eye today. Not many birds around on the walk, apart from a wheatear which posed for us nicely on the path, although the bird food I put out in the garden has attracted the usual suspects including a gang of long-tailed tits
After our walk, we came back to the cottage for a siesta, then had an early evening wander to see if we could work out where the stag we hear is located. We saw several does and youngsters but didn't see the stag, even though we can hear him clearly from the cottage. We also heard a muntjac barking from very close by. Had a BBQ on our return. Planning a trip down to the estuary tomorrow morning to see what birds are around at low tide,
