Late bloomers
It's most definitely Autumn. The leaves are tumbling and the garden is looking rather sorry for itself. It is also getting dark noticably early. Today's blip was taken in very low light. It is a small fennel which is only just blooming. I find the flowers fascinating with their curled in edges.
Don't think it will get chance to set seed though like it's big brother. There is very little around in the garden now. Just a few flowers left on the honeysuckle. The Buddleia is just about over and the Achillea are now turning brown.
Some find Autumn depressing but I actually like it - though I really MUST get out and do a little tidying up. Not too much as I like to be wildlife friendly (well, that's MY excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!!)
