Things wot I made part 4 - Temari

This is a temari ball - a Japanese craft made and given to celebrate important events. They are made, today, from a plastic bag, filled with wadding then bound round and round with thread to make a hard ball. The decoration is then embroidered on top. Some of the designs are simply stunning. Here are a couple of more views.

The day before yesterday I blipped some gladioli I had bought. Couldn't resist some more pics today. They are absolutely beautiful. Another view and another poor view.

Update on eye - still very sore. Went to pharmacist and it is badly infected so got drops. Think I must have got a bit of chaff in it watching the threshing at the steam fair.

P.S. The temari itself is about 3 inches in diameter.
