Free at last....

The Community AGM was this morning, and, for once, everything went in our favour. 9 of the Germans who could have voted didn't bother to send their proxy votes to the President and that tipped the balance in our favour, I don't think he was a 'happy chappy'.

So, we have a new President - Glenys Mitchell, and Jurgen and I as Vice Presidents, so whatever happens he will be outvoted at any committee meeting. We have ditched the administrators in favour of a better more professional company, for the same price. We have voted for safety bars at deep end of the big pool, despite Irene and Gerry stating that they would be a health and safety hazzard, as anyone swimming would bang their head on them!! What about someone swimming and getting into difficulty at the deep end, they might drown! New 'walk in' steps in the middle pool and in the baby pool, small 'roman' style steps which will make it easier for gmas/gdads and littlies getting in and out of the baby pool.

So, in the next few weeks, we will have a meeting with the new administrator and the gardeners, so that we can do a plan of action to upgrade the pool area. I spoke to one of the gardeners today, the young handsome one, and explained 'in my best Spanish' that we had a new president, vice president and administrator and the smile on his face was lovely. I suspect that they were not happy with the previous lot, and I can't blame them.
