Faster than a Speeding Train..

This is dedicated to Steve Gurney who is a famous multi sporter who has won a race which starts on one side of the South Island and crosses to the East side in one day. It involves biking, climbing over the Southern Alps, kayaking and again biking to the sands on the far shore. It is a mammouth task to undertake and to race it is legendary. Steve is a legend because he is a nutter and has won the race 9 times. It is known at "the Longest Day" because most people take a whole day to achieve it, if they even attempt it, and a lot more people either do the standard race over 2 days, or do it as part of a team.
Apart from his obvious dedication to pain and outstanding endurance, he today tried to take on the train with his car, and guess what - the train won, BUT he walked away (after a quick trip to A and E for a check up).
Maybe he has more of a steel heart than the train afterall.
Dont know the guy personally but you cant beat the lengths he goes to, to make the news.
