Flotsam? Jetsam?
Another glorious day, but I didn't get to see any of it until late evening because of work commitments. The sun was still shining brightly, and I braved the last of the evening out-of-town rush hour and made my way to Howth. The rhododendron display at Howth Castle wasn't as spectacular as I'd hoped, but still I spent an hour and half climbing up the hill behind Deer Park before ending up down at Howth Harbour, a favourite haunt. The place was swarming with strollers packing the sea wall. I turned my back on them and concentrated instead on trying to find interesting objects along the sea's edge. This length of rope at the foot of the wall really took my fancy.
