Haworth

Sometimes known as Howarth. Today, I'm in the heart of Brontë country. Following in the tiny footsteps of Charlotte, Emily, Anne and Bramwell to discover what made them tick.

This picture is of their family home, where they grew up with their father and aunt. It's an amazing place to visit (the hills are steep, but certainly works off yesterday's fish and chips and the fat rascals I've just bought.)

This sleepy village gave the world not one but three literary gems ... inspired by the untamed wildness of the Yorkshire Moors.
