Performing A Solo

I had 6 geese in the frame. A 7th came honking
in from the far side of the pond. With all of the movement...my goal was to get
all 7 in some form of movement.
 
After 10 minutes...I lowered my expectations. "Just
give me 4 in motion. That will be enough." One left...so...then there were
6.
 
After another 10 minutes...I lowered my sights
again. "2 in motion. That will be enough." I finally got 2 performing the "wing
thing", but didn't really like the picture.
 
I finally settled on the 1. He/She was an
artist...a performer...a mover, and a      

shaker. I love the wingspan.
 
It appears all of my dragonflies are either gone,
or eaten. It seems all the butterflies are gone, too. I always hate to see the
signs of summer disappearing, although I do like the fall season. I just hate
what comes after the autumn season.
 
Moral of the story? Don't set your goals so high
that they are unattainable. Sometimes...a 1 goose picture should be
enough.
