Garage?

I'm hoping that this is a fairly familiar sight to you. Well not this specific scene but a similar one if you have a garage. This is our garage and, as you can see, it does not fulfil one of the basic expectations of a garage, in that we do not store any vehicles in it but use it as a store/junk depository.

In fairness, our garage is actually too narrow for either of our cars, so if we didn't use it as a store, it wouldn't get used much. My main complaint is that I always wanted it to be a workshop but it is in fact a combination of larder, utility room, workshop, bike shed, warehouse and bin store.


On an annual basis, I make a firm promise to myself that I will clear this mess out, get rid of stuff I don't use and tidy away the stuff I do use. This would obviously entail labelling shelves and boxes, not to mention filling the many jars and other storage vessels that have been saved for that purpose with all manner of bits and pieces that will next be looked at when the kids clear out the garage to sell their inheritance.
