Exciting day

My word, were we proud gushing mummies at gymnastics this morning. It was such a totally fabulous session. The new building has made an unimaginable difference to our little gymnasts. They hurled themselves completely into EVERY SINGLE activity - they havent stopped smiling the whole time. They bounded round the place absolutely full of it.
The new equipment has arrived - brand new vault, training beams, junior competition beam, training bars, trampette, and a load more soft climbing stuff. Plus there's space for all the climbing apparatus. Katie's confidence in gymnastics has exploded in the two weeks since we've been in the new building. She's climbing stuff she wouldnt previously entertain, she's sliding down every slide. She LOVED the bars. Loved the floor beam. Her only hesitation about the training beam was Jo, the assistant coach supervised that and she doesnt really know her yet. But its been fabulous. The even more fabulous bit about it all is the staff were happy for me to wander round with the camera for snaps of our girls. One even smiled as she held Ava at the beam.
These are extra special photos to me. I spent several years as assistant coach teaching primary school gymnastics, and competing myself. So to have Katie's first tries on the training beams and bars on camera, and her loving doing it, is just brilliant. And the middle shot just makes me melt. Katie bounced with utter delight when her Bobbobs arrived, waving and shouting across the gym. They held hands for every bit of the class they could and make me go so gushy to see them together.
