Spikes

Today I've been in the garden maintaining the lawn. First I've had to cut it three times as with all the terrible weather we've had recently there's not been a day to get the grass cut. Then it was on to aerating the grass which is where the equipment pictured comes into play. The box claims that for every square meter this tool will 'leave 87 holes allowing air to penetrate to the deepest roots'. Tomorrow will be spent feeding the lawn its autumn feed in preparation for another harsh winter if weather forecasts are to be believed. Hopefully all this hard work will pay off next year so my garden looks as good as it did this year.
