Autumn crocus

It was a bright, blustery day, mostly spent in the office. From my window I spotted these little flowers in the gardens opposite and poked the camera between the iron railings for a snap. They must be a variety of Colchicum autumnale; didn't I see something about them in the news recently? It was this - lets hope it works out.

Later on we went to the Perservere to have a pint (or two) and a very enjoyable blether with Malc and Davide.
