Hail Storm

I'm sure there will be a few shots like this from Wellington blippers.

Wellington was hit by a hail storm at 1pm today, complete with thunder and over 500 flashs of lightning. The hailstones were amazing, some the size of large marbles.

Surprisingly there was no mention of the approaching storm on the Met Services website when I checked it this morning. Or should that read unsurprisingly?
