Never Forget
A day late, perhaps, but I learned of this monument while at the Fire Station yesterday, to see the play "The Guys", which provided an intense look into the lives of those first responders who gave their lives in the act of saving others. We were told that the flowers had appeared a couple nights ago in front of the monument mysteriously. No one knows who put them there.
This monument is a piece of the ruins from New York City where the twin towers were destroyed. It stands in front of our newly built fire station as a permanent reminder of the sacrifices that were made that day, but also those that are made on a daily basis by the brave and generous hearts who occupy the fire stations ar0und the world. Every one of them are heros to me.
I have back blipped the whirl wind wedding we attended out of state last weekend. The colorful and storybook drama begins here.
