Yet another tui

Another Tui in another blossom tree. Not very original but I can't resist photographing them.

I love the way his angle and the light (or lack of) have brought out his colours. For those of you who don't know our native tui, in most lights he just looks black, with the wee white tuft under his chin - in reality he is all sorts of shades of blue and green. A gorgeous bird, with a gorgeous song.

They are great to watch at the moment - whether feasting on nectar or darting about in mating rituals.
