Mucky

I decided to photograph my rhododendron and when I got out there it was alive with the hum of bumblebees. I tried to photograph a close up of one but for some reason they just wouldn't stay still for me so I couldn't get one properly in focus. I really wanted to catch their big bulging eyes but they would only show me their backsides.

In the end I chose this shot because, although I took some that are clearer, yesterday's photo was an ostrich with a mucky face so today's is a bumblebee with a mucky head and shoulders. Grass or pollen, it seems my subjects just can't stay clean.
