September 11th Remembered

On 9/11/2001 WHEN I SAW THE NEWS:

I was cuddling in bed with my 2 year old sick with morning sickness with a new pregnancy (Liam). At that moment of time I had that sinking feeling of "what kind of world is my new baby being born into and may God protect us all". That unsure feeling of what was going to come next from a group of hateful people was so unsettling. But United States came together with such patriotism and were undivided. I will never forget that day.

Today at Loren's State Cup game (against San Leandro)....the boys observed a moment of silence in remembrance of that heartbreaking day in 2001. It's hard to believe that this group of boys were just 2 years old when this tragedy hit America. This event will now be in their history books....but fresh in the minds of their parents.

(Our Thunderbirds played a hard game today, but it ended in a 3-3 tie. They're looking forward to more games in this State Cup to prove that hard work pays off.)
