Lunchtime conference break

Another day spent manning the conference stand. Lots of smiling, bowing and handing out our free pens and sample journals. Met some of our regular contributors from Japan and Korea. Always good to put a face to a name.

Managed to find a supermarket nearby to get some lunch. Found fruit, a cake and a drink (not a very balanced diet!) and took it to the small garden outside the conference centre. Watched butterflies and dragonflies while I ate.

Another formal evening meal in a very traditional Japanese restaurant. No shoes allowed and tables sunk into the floor. Easy to tell what was not vegetarian - lots of tentacles and eyes on display in the beautifully presented plates of sashimi, rice and noodles. Sampled ice cold sake and chatted to the other guests.
