Conference business

Busy morning at the conference centre talking to visitors. We had to abandon the toffees as free sweets when one of our editors managed to remove a crown from his tooth almost instantly - luckily it was somebody we knew and we were able to direct him to a dentist we'd seen by the subway exit! Luckily I'd also packed mints and chocolate limes to tempt people to the stand.

Our meeting went OK - long but important discussions. The photo shows the drinks reception for delegates after the close of the scientific sessions.

Quick dash back to the city centre and then on to our Editors' Meal in the hotel. Good to meet up with everyone socially. Our Japanese colleague had organised a great meal and had organised some interesting vegetarian options for me and a fellow editor.
