Bristolwood and Beyond

Shootin' for the moon...

We had a busy day today, although in looking back, it didn't seem all that busy! It was just one of those days that slips away....

We decided to go to the Mennonite store this afternoon to get some fresh apples. This store always seems to have consistantly good apples. We bought a variety-all fresh this year. Husband wanted to taste a few new kinds before deciding which he would like to get a bushel of maybe next month.

This store is so much fun to visit. Being set up much like a co-op, there is a huge inventory of baking supplies and nearly every spice known to mankind. The atmosphere is fun...there are always samples about to try, and lots of people shopping.

There is a deli where one can get cheeses and meats sliced to order, as well as subs made up. Today, there were beautiful Mums for sale outside in an assortment of colors. There is also an area where one can order or buy beautiful sheds. Ah, what a shopping experience this is!

After shopping, we headed back toward home and Daughter called on the cell. She wondered of we could stop by McDonald's and grab her a sandwich. She had been studying and doing homework the whole day and she was famished!

As we pulled into the drive-thru, I told Husband he needed to park after the order was processed. He knows me well enough by now not to question my sanity, or lack thereof.

I hopped out of the truck and began walking. It is funny how one walking along in a parking lot, camera slung around her neck, suddenly becomes a target for reckless drivers! A (nutty) woman with her husband sitting next to her and kids in the backseat made me scurry like crazy to get out of her path!

I was undaunted by the experience, determined to get my capture, my way! I walked around a lot and after numerous shots, I liked this one best. I was pleased with the flag in the foreground, keeping the patriotic theme going another day....
