Duran Duran

One of the first bands I was ever properly into was Duran Duran. The Rio album was one of my very first. Seven and The Ragged Tiger was one of my first on the new fangled cassette tapes. I once went to the hairdressers (aged about 11) with a seven inch single clutched in my hand and asked for a Simon Le Bon haircut!

So the chance to see them playing just down the road in an 800 people venue was impossible to turn down. And they were great. They obviously are a talented band who haven't rested on their 80's mega hit laurels and are still creating and performing excellent music. Which means I was a bit disappointed to not here the big hits a grew up with, but just to hear Simon Le Bon's voice was a pleasure. He is a proper singer, very impressed.
