Eye

(or should it be Pants 2, the sequel!)

A late night, tired blip - it's part of a china elephant in case you're wondering - it shows part of the trunk and an eye.

Today was all about eyes. My dad finally had his detached retina 'mended'. (He spent Friday and Saturday sitting waiting for an op which never happened.) He had it done under a local anaesthetic and it sounds hideous but he wasn't at all worried about it. They drilled three holes into his eye (yes, while he was awake!!) and put a gas bubble in it, as well as doing whatever else it is that they do - I shut my ears at the drilling part of the story as I was about to vomit! He now has to spend 50 mins out of every hour with his head at an angle of 45 degrees for 10-14 days. He also thinks that he will be able to manage at home by himself - watch this space on that one!
