Cirque de Solitude

A walk today from the hotel at Haut Asco out to 'The Cirque', yes the day that most GR20 walker's dread. Normally having spent the night under canvas, you climb first to 2200 m before descending 200m down a cliff face (fitted with chains for support). You then traverse and climb back up the other side...2 hours in the Cirque and hopefully you are alive and well!

We decided that the Cirque may not be quite for us, hence a walk up to it, a good look and a climb back down.
